Teaching procedures:

Step 1 Warm-up and Lead-in

1.Daily greetings+song-Marry had a little lamb.

Step 2 Pre- listening

Show a picture of my pen friend and describe her: She has yellow hair and blue eyes. She can do a lot of things: sing English song(举例)Do Chinese Kungfu.(示范)She is my best pen friend- We usually write letters or send e-mail to each other.

Step 3 While- listening

First listening:Answer the question: Where is Laura from?

Second listening: Answer the following question: Can Daming speak English? Can Daming be Laura’s pen friend?

Third listening: ask students to read after the tape and find out two students to read.

Step 4 Post-listening

Practice: make sentences according to the pictures.

Role play: set up a situation: a lot of foreigners will come to our school and make friends with us. Could you introduce yourself to them.

Step 5 Summary and homework

Summary: Invite one of the students to review what we have learned and others make a supplement together.

Homework: Tell your parents that what you can do.
